EAT! festival
Brief/
To design the overall look and aesthetics of the ‘Mad Hatters Tea
Party’, an event taking place as part of the Eat! Festival. The event
involved the River Tyne being bridged with a single 100m long afternoon
tea table which seated over 330 people representing every corner of
Newcastle and Gateshead.
Design/
xsite assigned one uniting theme to the table by placing markers along
the entire table as well as herbs and plants which added to the tea
party theme. In addition to this xsite promoted the event by dressing a
window at Fenwick’s. The window helped in giving the public an idea of
the theme and feel of the party and also promoted the Eat! Festival as
a whole.
