Design/
xsite were involved in the early stages of planning, scaling and designing the 10x10 metre map that the giant cake buildings of Newcastle and Gateshead would sit. 100 iconic structures were chosen and 100 teams of professional and amateur cake builders from across the UK got to work. Xsite decided to get further involved by building one of the cakes; the Trinity ‘Get Carter’ Carpark in Gateshead... and were joint winners of the best cake, voted by the bakers!.

EAT! Is a yearly food festival in the North East, which passionately advocates to all the pleasures of creating and
sharing good food and drink in the region. On Sunday June 20th 2010, a giant model of the twin cities was built of cakes.
