Brief/

A design competition to replace the Pennington road footbridge over the Leeds-Liverpool canal in Bootle. The canal is to become a catalyst for the regeneration of the area, with the new footbridge being a landmark structure providing an attractive gateway to the town.

Design/
xsite designed a ribbon of communication and light across the canal. Passing over the bridge people travel with the movement of a central curved flowing light box, stopping as the bridge creates moments to view.
