Project Info:
The Commissioner’s Quay Inn is the second phase of the Commissioner’s Quay masterplan, developed by Arch Development Group. Following on from Blyth Workspace, the site is located next to the entrance of the Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult on the waterfront of Blyth Harbour and immediately adjacent to Blyth Town Centre.
The Inn has 40 bedrooms across three upper floors, with the ground floor providing a food and drink venue with up to 265 covers for daytime and evening trade. The building is constructed in a high quality red brick with white render and timber elements referencing the coastal location and maritime surroundings. Glazed balconies at upper levels make the most of the coastal views, whilst an external seating to the north of the building helps connect the scheme to the town centre.
The scheme was completed in June 2016 ahead of the Tall Ships Regatta in Blyth.
