Project Info:
Brief: Take a long hard look at The Ouseburn Valley and suggest interventions that will promote better and safer pedestrian and cycle routes while not alienating the car but creating equal space in which people can navigate the valley.
Design: We have been working with Ouseburn Futures and Sustrans running questionnaires, consultation days and street trials (see our blog) to establish three focus streets at the north end of the valley and then design a mixture of proposals for road realignment, better parking provision, traffic calming and road marking to help slow speeds to put to the City Council in a bid to have them implemented and really impact on the appearance and feel of the valley for visitors and users alike.
